NEWS

๐Ÿ›ฃ๏ธ Track resurfaced
The Interlagos circuit has been fully resurfaced. According to Pirelli, the roughness of the new surface has reduced by 30% which translates into less grip. Also, the new asphalt is much darker which will make the track reach higher temperatures. With this being a Sprint weekend, teams will only have Free Practice 1 to gather as much information as possible on the new surface and its characteristics, which could lead to some surprises on race day.

๐Ÿ† Constructors championship
When it seemed McLaren would easily secure the Constructors Championship, Ferrari has come to shake things up. After two consecutive double podiums and with four races still to go, Ferrari has moved up to second place, just 29 points behind McLaren. The championship is more open than ever. Red Bull has not only lost the lead but also dropped to third place, something that has not happened since Australia 2022.

๐Ÿ’ธ Budget breach
The FIA has announced that engine manufacturers Alpine and Honda exceeded last yearโ€™s budget cap and were fined โ‚ฌ400,000 and โ‚ฌ600,000, respectively. Both manufacturers have accepted the penalties. All other engine manufacturers and the 10 F1 teams complied with the budget cap in 2023.

๐Ÿ’ญ The Rumor of the week...
... is that Pรฉrezโ€™s future at Red Bull is once again in doubt, with rumors that Red Bull might be interested in signing Colapinto for 2025 for $20 million. However, it is still uncertain who would partner Verstappen, as Tsunoda, Lawson, and now Colapinto all appear to be in the running. What seems more certain is that we may be watching Pรฉrezโ€™s last races in F1.
